Rendezvous with Fire & Art: A Unique Levee St. Festival
This weekend, Trenz Gallery is teaming up with Kidscapes Foundation to host a whimsical, art-filled outdoor event on Levee Street. Rendezvous with Fire & Art takes place on Nov. 3 and 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and will feature live pottery making, 20+ artist booths, live music, a pig roast, a silent auction, zumba performances, food trucks and drinks.
Randy Brodnax, a renowned potter who gives workshops throughout the country, will be front and center both days of the festival, performing his unique live art show with fire and colored smoke. He’ll also be roasting an entire pig during the performance, so come hungry.
If pork isn’t your thing, there will plenty of other things to eat and drink. The Spanish LunchBox, Bombay Chopstix and The Lab food trucks will be stationed near the festivities, Cowboy Style Philly’s will be selling their homemade cheesteaks, and Kidscapes will be passing out gumbo in exchange for a donation to their cause. La Grange will be setting up a pop-up bar on site for all the day drinkers in the audience.
The silent auction will feature a piece from each artist participating in the show, and all proceeds will benefit Kidscapes, a nonprofit that provides education, insurance and free art programs to underprivileged children.
Make sure you stop by the courtyard of 1323 Levee Street this weekend and party for a great cause!
