Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio Returns to the Design Center

Oct 11, 2012 No Comments by

Thrift Studio has become one of the Design District’s most popular events, bringing a pop-up design showroom whose proceeds benefit Dwell with Dignity. This time around, Thrift Studio will be at the Dallas Design Center from Oct. 11 to Nov. 10, and feature vignettes from some of Dallas’ most celebrated designers.

At the preview party tonight (and for the duration of the 30 day pop-up) you’ll see scenes designed by Cynthia Collins, Breckinridge Taylor, John Phifer Marrs, Laura Lee Clark, Lisa Luby Ryan, Stella Dallas and Peacock Alley. All vignettes combine used, donated or overstock furniture and accessories with high end designer pieces — everything is for sale, and everything benefits Dwell with Dignity!

Dwell with Dignity is a nonprofit organization made up of Interior Designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. They provide and install home interiors for families that include furnishings and art, bedding and kitchen supplies, and food in the pantry.

The Thrift Studio Preview Party is this evening, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.; tickets are $125. The hours of the Thrift Studio are Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to  5:30 p.m. The studio is located at 110 Slocum Street, Suite 280.
